Never Off

The brief - Launch Sony Linkbuds, the world’s first headphone designed for an always on Gen Z lifestyle.

Context - The iconic design featured an innovative donut shape to allow ambient sound to flow in alongside music, phone calls etc. Gen Z users would wear their headphones in all situations and have ambient noise blend to varying degrees with the sounds they were listening to.

Idea - I suggested we use the iconic ‘O’ of the donut shape as a portal to move seamlessly between real and digital worlds to match the Gen Z lifestyle. Our excellent Sid Lee team developed the Never Off idea and tagline., which we pitched and won.
